How to Add SAGE Attributes in Bulk

Update your SAGE Product Attributes in DC!

  1. Export your product attributes
  2. Update SAGE attributes in the exported spreadsheet
  3. Upload your updated attributes file to DC for import


1. Export your product attributes


  1. Select Products in the left menu

  2. Click Bulk Product Manager


  3. On the Bulk Product Manager page, find the Export Product Data section & click Customize Export

  4. Ensure that the "Send to" email address is correct

  5. Under the Prepare your export file section, select DistributorCentral data (if its not already selected)five.png

  6. Then select Product Attributes in "Data type included in export" dropdownsix.png

  7. Click Begin Export

  8. You'll receive an email from itsupport@distributorcentral.com with a link to download your Attribute Spreadsheet

  9. Open the downloaded Spreadsheet to begin making alterations to your Product Attributes


2. Update SAGE product attributes in the spreadsheet


Add a predefined attribute to a cell in the attribute spreadsheet

SAGE's predefined attributes are "Product Available to Sage", "Categories", & "Themes"

  1. Find the product that you need to update in the left product details section and move to the red column headers to the far right. (These are the SAGE attributes)

  2. With a predefined attribute cell selected, click the drop-down menu found to the right of the cell

  3. Select the attribute value you'd like to add & repeat until all predefined attribute values needed are added to this attribute cell

  4. Now begin adding the remaining SAGE Attributes

  5. When you're done, save your updated spreadsheet

Delete a predefined attribute in the attribute spreadsheet

  1. Find the product that you need to update in the left product details section and move to an attribute cell to the right

  2. With the attribute cell selected, click the drop-down menu found to the right of the cell

  3. Select the attribute you'd like to remove from this product

  4. Once selected, the attribute will be automatically removed from the attribute cell

  5. When you're done, save your updated spreadsheet


3. Upload your updated Product Attributes Spreadsheet to DC for import


  1. Select Products in the left menu

  2. Click Product Data File Manager

  3. On the Product Data File Manager page, click Upload Import Spreadsheet to right
    The Product Data Spreadsheet Upload box will open


  4. Choose Product Attributes in the Update Type dropdownD-four.png

  5. Click Select file

  6. Find and upload your Product Attributes Spreadsheet

  7. Click Save in the bottom right corner of the Product Data Spreadsheet Upload

The import run automatically and your new or updated attributes will be applied to your products. "Complete" will appear under the Status column in the Imports table to the right of your Attributes import.
