How to Change Your Domain's A Record to Point to DC

Once you register a domain and add it to your DC account, add A records to your domain's DNS to point it to a DistributorCentral website.
Below are some general steps to help direct you in making this change. Specific steps may vary depending on your domain provider.
(These steps are only needed if you chose NOT to have DistributorCentral host your domain.)

  1. Log in to your account with your domain registrar
  2. Navigate to the domain record
  3. Manage or Edit the domain
  4. Click "Add Record"
  5. Change the record type to "A"
  6. Next, add "www" as the Host
  7. Enter 52.4.6.12 in the "Points to" or "Target" section
  8. Add 3600 (1 hour) as TTL
  9. Save your changes
  10. Repeat steps 4 & 5
