How to Add Percentage Markdown to Freight Charges

Add a percentage markdown to your products' shipping charges throughout all of DistributorCentral.

  1. Log in to your DistributorCentral Suppliers account
  2. In the left menu, click Account

  3. Under Account, click Preferences

  4. Choose Account Preferences

  5. In the left preference categories box, click Shipping (14)

  6. With Shipping selected, scroll down until you find the following preference: 
    How should shipping be calculated on orders?

  7. At the bottom of the shipping calculations list, select Add percentage markdown to existing freight

  8. Next, go to the next preference, “If you use a flat shipping rate or need to mark freight up/down, enter the rate here.”

  9. Type the percentage markup you're wanting to add in the text field. In this example we want a 10% markup to freight so we typed in "10".

  10. Save the changes
